WAPDA Cadet College Tarbela established in 2004, was inaugurated by Mr. Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, who was at that time Minister for Water & Power. The College provides quality education encompassing literary, Cultural, Co-curricular and Extra-Curricular activities with particular emphasis on character building and discipline.

It is established on the bank of Indus amidst lofty green mountains in background and reservoirs of barrage and dam. It is fully residential and its location which is inside the WAPDA Colony enhances both its beauty and security.

The Cadets excel not only in academics, sports, debates and declamations but also are made aware of their obligations and social norms so as to emerge as disciplined and enlightened citizen of Pakistan and face the challenges that lie ahead. WAPDA Cadet College Tarbela is an emerging Cadet College. Its alumni is playing reckonable role including Pak Army, Air Force, Navy, Engineering and other walks of national life as well.

The College follows the syllabus laid down by Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Islamabad. The medium of instruction in the College is English. Class tests and terminal examinations are held at regular intervals. Cadetsí progress reports are assessed and complete record of their academic and general performance is maintained.
